Martely is a small resort area
just outside my town.
Once part of the River Tisza's
original riverbed, today it is
an oxbow-shaped lake.
With its hundreds of years old
trees, the area still serves
as a floodplain for the river.
Bleached and covered with
fine mud, this tree's bark
recalls associations of
gothic cathedrals, caves,
cavities...
